About

We are a studio that has its eye two generations from now.

One ethic, our ethic, is to eschew the immediate for the visionary embrace of the gathering to come.

It is no longer good enough to think in terms of “deliverables” for the here and now.

Our era of polycrises requires thinking.

Only when we contend with what is concrete and actual in the collapse of our worlds will action return.

It is beyond doubt that tectonic processes of change are afoot.

So the question becomes: what sort of legacy do we want to leave?

This is the question that haunts Pell Mell.

As such, we are obsessed with the problem of inventing collective equipment for the communities that will inherit what we leave them.
